Muhammad Ali and Joe Frazier faced off 3 times between 1971 and 1975. Frazier won the first bout and Ali won the last two bouts. All three fights were classics making Ali vs Frazier perhaps "The Greatest Rivalry In Boxing" history.
On February 25, 1964 Cassius Clay defeated Sonny Liston to become the Heavyweight Champ when Liston couldn't answer the bell for the 7th round. By the time the two met again on May 25, 1965 Clay had become a Muslim and changed his name to Muhammed Ali. Ali knocked out Liston in the first round of the rematch.
Floyd "Money" Mayweather Jr. made his professional debut on October 11, 1996. Mayweather is still undefeated in his professional career.
George Foreman defeated Joe Frazier in 1973 to become the Heavyweight Champion. Foreman lost the title to Muhammad Ali in the 1974 epic called "The Rumble In The Jungle." Foreman again became the Heavyweight Champion at the age of 45 in 1994.
